Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua a loss to Nigeria.

Even though Great Britain was our colonial masters, I must confess that the way we loose our athletes is quite embarrassing. For a while now our so called sports administrators are more concerned with politics and what they and their families will get from the national cake than the success story of our athletes. Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua is just one of the boxers that will carry and put British boxing in the world map at the expense of Nigeria. The same problem that affected football where we lost our players to other nation is spreading like a virus to other sports. The reason for this problem is based on the type of sports administrators we have that has failed to put the necessary infrastructures, human financial and material resources and logistics in place for our sports men and women. Tomorrow when we hear Anthony Joshua as he is popularly called as the World Boxing Champion, we should remember that Anthony is no more a Nigerian but a Briton and this new identity was made easier thanks to the sports administration we have in our country.
