Many of our young players have fallen into the trap of signing contracts they cannot explain. The reason for this mistake lies in the inability of the players to get proper advice before putting pen to paper. Many of our young stars who performed well at youth competitions such as the Golden Eaglets and the Flying Eagles have signed SLAVE CONTRACTS and as a result cannot reach the summit of their footballing career. Due to the greed of agents most of them end up signing for lesser known leagues all in the name of playing abroad. The football regulating body should establish a department that will handle all transfers with emphasis made to take care of the future of our young ones. The young players themselves should use the opportunity when created to their advantage and ensure that they get the best deals. The older players too should offer professional football advice to these younger ones especially information about countries and club with developmental programs. The believe is that when this actions are taken, our players will be in safe hands and can be monitored and called upon for national assignments.
