Sir Alex Chapman Ferguson the Master Tactician
There is no doubt the most successful manager in the history of Manchester United still remains Sir Alex Ferguson. Fergie as he is nicknamed has produced so many talents who have all gone to become great coaches. Coaches such as Gary Neville and his brother Phil, Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes, Paul Ince, Laurent Blanc, Ryan Giggs have all passed through this great teacher and legend. Great players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Andrew Cole,Eric Cantona, Bryan Robson just to mention a few had their careers well defined under his pragmatic teaching. It is on record that Alex kept Manchester City and Liverpool at bay during his coaching career in Manchester United and his departure led to the struggles the club is currently facing. No one understands the philosophy of attacking football like him and he remains the longest serving manager in both Manchester United and the EPL as a whole. Sir Alex Ferguson record is quite impressive as the roll call is unbelievable----13 Premier Leagues, 5 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, 10 FA Community Shield, 1 Cup Winners Cup, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 2 UEFA Champions League, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 1 FIFA World Club Cup. With all these achievements, it will be very difficult for any manager in the Premiership to surpass. On of the greatest attributes of Sir Alex is his ability to spot talents and nurture them into success and even though he has his critics no one can sweep his achievements under the carpet.
